Established in 2010, iTool and Plant provides a wide range of self drive plant & equipment hire, plant & machinery sales and groundworks services. We also operate a 32 tonne crane lorry and are available for Hiab works.
Our customers range from domestic clients doing their own work, local businesses such as builders, tree surgeons and property maintenance contractors, through to national companies working in the area. Based in sauchen between Westhill and Alford we are ideally suited to cover a large part of Rural Aberdeenshire, Aberdeen city and with the opening of the Aberdeen City Bypass, we can also be competitive in delivery to the North and South of the city.
Areas covered include, Inverurie, Ellon, Elgin, Insch, Banchory, Aboyne, Balater, Strathdon, Aberdeen City, Stonehaven, Laurencekirk, and anywhere else in between. We specialise in equipment hire of all types and aim to be a “one stop shop” for the hire of unusual or specialist equipment normally only available from dedicated bespoke hire companies.
Examples of this include our range of turfcare equipment such as a stone burier or overseeder, inspection equipment such as thermal imaging cameras or drain cameras and excavator mounted attachments such as soil screeners and post hole borers. As a family run business, we pride ourselves in the personal touch, being big enough to deliver, but small enough to care.
We can provide a wide range of plant and equipment from the slightly more unusual such as thermal imaging cameras through to Excavators, dumpers and compaction equipment. We have a good range of access at height equipment, spider lifts and narrow access. Operating a crane lorry we are able to provide delivery to complex sites or those unable to drive equipment into by utilising the lorry mounted crane to lower equipment to the worksite. As we operate the equipment ourselves, we can offer good advice on machine choice, how to do the job and where to get the materials or even where to get the machine if it’s one of the few machines we don’t have. In addition to self drive plant hire we provide a range of operated plant hire and groundworks. We are competitively priced and aim to work with our clients to get a solution that best suits their needs and budget. This can be a simple “man and machine” service through to larger construction or groundworks projects encompassing multi trades and a range of our equipment. We are also willing to work in tandem with our clients and often provide a mixed self drive and operated plant service where we will take on the bulk of the more complex works, whilst giving the clients the opportunity to hire additional equipment and tackle other parts of a project themselves whilst we are onsite and available to consult. We always work to a very high standard, treating the job “as if it was for me” always pleases or clients and the reviews speak for themselves.
We always stock a good range of used plant, machinery and equipment to suit almost any budget. We have no specific specialist area and our moto is “if it’s a machine we will sell it” Typical examples of sales equipment include diggers, dumpers, gardening equipment, tractors, rotovators, mowers, compressors, welders, metalworking machinery, machine tools, cherry pickers, hydraulic breakers, turfcare equipment, pumps and many more.
